“It was most suitable that people were honored with participation through the chairs of Connected Industries and also the Florida Chamber of Commerce. You will find there's wonderful history of dealing with key business associations like AIF and also the Chamber. Whenever we have effectively handled bad insurance law and unnecessarily high insurance charges, it's been through this partnership,” states FIC Leader Cecil Pearce.

This program incorporated two former House loudspeakers, Senate Rules Chairman John Thrasher of The city of jacksonville and Allan Bense of Panama City, who also made an appearance in the role as chair from the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Another key priority is going to be coming back People Property Insurance Corp. to some marketplace for home owners who cannot get private insurance.

Throughout conferences of the key committees to build up specific positions FIC people also deliberated on PIP car insurance, implementation from the federal healthcare act, and pressing life insurance coverage issues.

On PIP, the FIC auto and health committees agree that permitting the Florida car insurance crisis and rampant insurance fraud to carry on is unacceptable. Like the majority of other associations, FIC is constantly on the wrestle having a specific strategy one of the two major options: repeal PIP and change it with another car insurance system or reform PIP. Whichever is finally adopted, new tools to battle insurance fraud are crucial, FIC Leader Pearce stresses.
